Home wins for Panthers and Tigresses in Flexi League

For the first time, all three Reigate Women FC teams were at home this weekend.

The Panthers were the first to play, taking on ESPS Phoenix. The game started quite evenly with shots on goal coming from both sides. The deadlock was broken by a right footed strike from Panthers’ midfielder Chrissy Watts. As the game progressed, the Panthers grew in confidence with some great passing football, which concluded with a powerful strike from Charlotte McKeon that ended Phoenix’s hopes of a comeback. Final score 2-0 to Panthers.

The Tigresses then took on Woking Diamonds, knowing that a win would provide a vital boost for them in the league table. The game started with end to end action, before Tash Waterman broke the deadlock with a super strike midway through the first half. She then added a second just before half-time. In the second half, Tigresses dominated with a number of missed chances. Although Waterman had dropped back to support the defence, she still completed her hat-trick to lead the Tigresses to a 3-0 win.

The Reigate Lionesses faced Kingswood Ladies after an unbeaten season so far. The game was packed with end to end excitement with close shots from both sides. The only goal of the game came from a pressured goal scramble which concluded with the ball in the back of the net for Kingswood. The Lionesses fought back strongly but couldn’t quite find the equaliser despite throwing all they could at the Kingswood net. The 1-0 defeat opens up the table and means the league title is back up for grabs.
