The second weekend of the Surrey FA Flexible League saw all three of Reigate Women FC’s squads in action for the first time.
RWFC Lionesses played their first away fixture, travelling to south-west London to take on Sheen Mounties, to see which team would retain their 100% win record in the league. In the end, it was the Lionesses who ran out 2-1 winners, with both goals scored by Becky Keogh, although Jess Dorman was unlucky with her shot hitting the crossbar. The win propelled the Lionesses to the top of the league, as the only team to have the maximum six points from their first two games.
At Priory Park, the RWFC Tigresses played their second club derby in a row, this time taking on the RWFC Panthers, who were making their league debut. This was a close game in the first half, the Panthers were unlucky to go a goal behind when a goal mouth scramble ended in an own goal. They recovered with Becca Nesbitt scoring the equaliser before halftime. In the second half, Holly Stroud and Zoe Perkin both scored, before Stroud scored her second, taking the Tigresses to a 4-1 win.
