A dominant performance saw Reigate Women FC Panthers get their first win in the Surrey FA Flexible League as they beat Woking Diamonds 4-2 away from home.
After a disappointing result in their first game of the league the Panthers were keen to get a result as they created plenty of goal scoring opportunities early on.
The breakthrough eventually came as Becca Nesbitt went through one on one with the goalkeeper as she calmly slotted it past her. The home team quickly pulled one back before a wonder strike from Charlotte McKeon saw the Panthers back in the lead just before half time.
The second half continued to provide plenty of excitement for the Panthers and more goals as Becca Nesbitt completed her hat-trick after a dominant performance in midfield. Woking managed to reduce the deficit late on after some great play however Reigate stood firm with a player of the match performance from defender Caro Rosenkranz.
The win sees the Panthers move up the table into 5th with two games in hand.
Elsewhere, Reigate Women FC Lionesses and Tigresses both travelled to Chiswick for away games against ESPS Phoenix and Sheen Mounties respectively.
The Tigresses knew they were in for a tough game against Sheen Mounties, as the Lionesses had a hard-fought win against the same side in December. Tigresses’ striker Sarah Gott put them into a 1-0 half-time lead, however Sheen Mounties dominated the second half, eventually running out 3-1 winners. The result put Sheen Mounties second in the league but dropping the Tigresses to 6th.
The Reigate Women FC Lionesses extended their lead at the top of the table as well as their unbeaten record, with a 6-0 win over ESPS Phoenix. An exciting first half saw the Lionesses go 4-0 up at half time with a debut goal from Misha West, a stunning strike from Steph Thorbes and two goals from Libby Moy. The second half had Moy complete her hat-trick while Jenna Chisholm completed the scoring with her own debut goal.
